Joel has been with the JL Bainbridge team since 2002, bringing deep industry experience from his time at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Charles Schwab & Co. As a Senior Vice President and Family Wealth Advisor, Joel manages portfolios for a dedicated group of long-term clients and plays an active role in prospective client relationships. He is also a member of the Investment Committee, helping evaluate and select investment opportunities.
Outside of the office, Joel is deeply family-oriented and motivated by creating a lasting legacy for his wife, Kristin, and their daughters, Gracie and Emma. A longtime Lakewood Ranch resident, he values close relationships, community, and the same long-term perspective in life that he brings to his work with clients.

My family – my wife Kristin and our daughters Gracie and Emma are my greatest inspiration. Building a legacy for my own family motivates me every day, and it’s the same reason I’m passionate about helping clients create generational wealth, support charitable causes, and achieve their long-term goals.

The relationships. Many of my clients have been with me for more than 20 years. Over time, they’ve become like family. Being part of their journey and watching them achieve goals, transition through life stages, and plan for future generations is incredibly meaningful.

Jerry and Fay Bainbridge. They left successful careers to start this firm with a clear vision and a genuine love for investing. They’ve built a business that still feels like a family, even after reaching over $1 billion AUM and their commitment to philanthropy and legacy is something I deeply admire.

I’ve lived in nine states plus Washington, D.C. We moved frequently when I was younger, which gave me a broad perspective early in life.
